Book Your Growth ReviewThis report is updated monthly. Visibility scores reflect a weighted formula based on ranking position and keyword volume. Data collected from Google organic search results. Floodlight SEO works with one client per vertical, per market.
How to read this chart. Each bubble is a business competing for attention in this market. Bigger bubbles mean more overall search visibility. The horizontal axis shows how many keywords a business ranks for, and the vertical axis shows their average ranking position (lower numbers are better). Businesses in the upper-right are ranking for a lot of keywords in strong positions. Businesses in the lower-left are barely showing up.

Overall search visibility score for each competitor. Higher scores mean more keywords ranking in stronger positions. Updated monthly.

Google's AI Overview for remodeler searches in Oklahoma City consistently references a distinct group of sources when responding to user queries. Our analysis reveals that six sources appear in 100% of AI-generated responses: Yelp, Facebook, Angi, Better Business Bureau, AC Owen, and BR Custom Homes. The presence of both major directory platforms and specific local companies suggests Google's AI values a mix of review aggregation sites and established regional businesses. Since this represents just one month of tracking, we expect to see more nuanced citation patterns develop as we gather additional data over time.
Monitoring period: 1 month of data collected. Trends will become more meaningful as the data set grows.

AI Overview citations are highly variable. A single snapshot is unreliable, which is why we report persistence across multiple monthly observations. Persistent citation indicates durable authority that correlates with strong organic search performance.
The numbers on this page tell a clear story: 40.8% of the top positions in the Oklahoma City remodeling market are held by directory sites like Yelp and Angi. That is the highest directory dominance of any remodeling market we track. It does not mean homeowners aren’t searching for remodelers. It means the remodelers aren’t showing up.
With 649 keywords tracked across the OKC metro, the search demand spans kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, basement remodeling, whole-home renovations, and more, across communities from Edmond and Deer Creek through Moore, Norman, Mustang, Yukon, and Bethany. A homeowner in Piedmont searching for a kitchen remodeler is not typing “kitchen remodeler Oklahoma City.” They’re searching their own community. The remodeler who has content for that specific search gets found.
Referrals are the norm in this market, and they work until they don’t. SEO gives you a lead source that compounds over time. Every page you build targets a specific community and project type that will generate inquiries for years. Referral networks can go quiet overnight. A well-built website doesn’t.
This is one of the most wide-open remodeling markets we track. The top three competitors combine for just 10.6% of total visibility. No single remodeler holds even 5%. The top-ranked competitor has an average position around 15, which means they show up on page two for most of their keywords. That is not dominance. That is a placeholder.
Several competitors rank for 200+ keywords but with average positions in the mid-to-high teens. They’ve built some content, but it hasn’t been optimized or maintained. The gap between ranking for a keyword and ranking well enough to actually generate clicks is where the entire opportunity sits in this market.
A remodeler who builds out targeted content for even half the communities in this metro, covering the core project types in each, would move into the top position with relatively little resistance. There is no entrenched competitor to unseat. The market leader today is barely visible. Our remodeler SEO playbook explains how to build that kind of position from the ground up.
These are real competitive markets where Floodlight has a client. The big orange bubble that's clearly winning is ours. Results are typical.

We work with one remodeler per metro. If you're a remodeler in the Oklahoma City area and want to own the search results in your market, let's talk.
