The Albuquerque metro covers a lot of ground, from the North Valley and Corrales through Rio Rancho, the East Mountains, Los Lunas, and Bosque Farms. Homeowners in these areas search locally. Someone in Corrales looking for a kitchen remodel is not searching “kitchen remodel Albuquerque.” They’re searching “kitchen remodel Corrales” or “remodeler near me” from a Corrales IP address. The remodeler who has a page for that specific community and project type gets the call. The one who doesn’t is invisible to that buyer.
With over 1,200 keywords tracked across this metro, the search demand is real and it’s spread across dozens of communities and project types. Bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, home additions, basement finishing. Each category has its own search behavior and its own competitive landscape. A remodeler who targets even a fraction of that space systematically would stand out in a market where almost nobody is trying.
The competitor rankings on this page show the most fragmented remodeling market we track. The top three competitors combine for under 10% of total visibility. No single remodeler holds even 4%. That level of fragmentation means the market leader could change entirely within a few months of sustained SEO effort from a new competitor.
The remodelers who do rank are spread thin. The top competitor ranks for over 600 keywords but with an average position around 14, meaning they show up on page two for most of them. Several others follow the same pattern: broad coverage, weak positions. That tells you these businesses have built out some content, but it hasn’t been optimized or maintained. The gap between ranking for a keyword and ranking well enough to get clicks is where the opportunity sits.
Nobody in this market has put together a systematic content strategy that covers the full range of communities and project types.
