Floodlight SEO collects very little about the people who visit this site, and we never sell it. This policy covers floodlightseo.com and the ways people get in touch with us through it.

Floodlight SEO is a registered business name of J3N5 Incorporated in Anoka, Minnesota. “We” and “us” below mean that company.

What we collect

What you send us

When you fill out a form on this site, we receive what you type. The contact form asks for your name, email, an optional phone number, and your message. The Growth Review form also asks for your business name, website, type of business, market or city, how you found us, and how we can help. Both forms note which page you sent them from.

If you call or email us, we have whatever you tell us.

What the site records on its own

Our analytics record which pages are viewed, the site a visitor came from, browser and device type, and a general location such as city or region. They can also record a replay of a visit: the pages viewed and where the visitor clicked and scrolled. The companies that host and deliver this site keep standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

If you become a client

We collect the business information needed to do the work. That includes contact details for you and your staff, access you grant to accounts such as your website, Google Business Profile, Search Console, and Analytics, and what you share with us in calls and emails. Interviews done through our interview tool are saved as transcripts so we can write content from them.

What we do not collect

This site has no logins and takes no payments, so we do not collect passwords or card numbers here.

How we use it

We use what you send us to reply to you and to prepare for a Growth Review, which means looking at your website and your market before we talk. For clients, we use it to do the SEO and marketing work you hired us for and to report on it.

We use analytics to see which pages people read and to find and fix problems with the site.

We keep business records where tax or other law requires it. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It has no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no other advertising trackers.

We run our own copy of Umami, an open-source analytics tool, on a server we control. It does not use cookies and does not follow you to other websites. The visit replays described above are part of that same tool and stay on the same server.

The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google sees your IP address, as it would for any site using its fonts.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. It reaches other companies only when they provide a service we use to run this site and our business:

Our team members see inquiries and client information as needed to do their jobs.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is ever sold or merged.

Emails from us

We sometimes email business owners we have not worked with yet. When we do, we use business contact details that are published on the company’s own website or in business directories.

If you get one of these and do not want another, reply and say so, or email info@floodlightseo.com. We will remove you and not contact you again.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep inquiries and emails for as long as they are useful to the conversation or the working relationship. We keep client records for the length of the engagement and afterward as needed for business and tax records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Access is limited to our small team and the providers listed above. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@floodlightseo.com and we will respond within 30 days. We honor these requests no matter where you live.

You can also browse this site without sending us anything. Blocking scripts in your browser turns off the analytics and does not break the site.

Children

This site is for business owners. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
